Crib Death mystery solved
Do you know someone who lives with the guilt of believing they killed their own child by leaving it sleeping on its side or stomach? If so, it's time you told them the truth and ended their misery.
New Zeland once had the highest rate of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome on Earth. Now it has the lowest. There is now proof that SIDS is caused by poison gasses, and not by the inattention of parents.

The mattresses used in cribs, bassinets, prams etc. include a fire retardant, made of arsenic, antimony and phosferous. Human beds grow a fungus which reacts with these chemcials to create a lethal heavier than air gas. Of course, the closer the child's mouth and nose is to the mattress, the more deadly gas it breathes in. That's why for so long it appeared that laying babies on their sides or stomachs was the cause of crib death, but a doctor in New Zeland has proved otherwise. For eleven years now, baby mattresses in New Zeland have been wrapped in gas impermeable plastic. And in those eleven years, not a single crib death has been recorded involving mattresses so wrapped. In other words, the poison gas theory is proved correct.

Eastern people let their babies sleep facing upwards
while western babies face downwards.
Maybe that's the reason why we
dont hear those accidents happen in these parts....
But my children had both.
They as infants sometimes sleep facing downwards
on Dad's chest.
Thanks for dropping by, Rachel. |

Sincere thanks Obmar!
Have you in my thoughts always...
Have been missing you lots.
It has been extremely HOT and the humidity, you can cut it with a knife it's so thick. Everytime I try and take a step forward, my clothes are so wet from the humidity, makes it so hard to move.
We put infants on their stomach's or lie them on their sides so if they spit up baby formula, they won't choke on their own vomit, which can also cause death. |

Here is hot and humid most of the time that we learn to take it for granted.
But today is so cloudly that the sun is not seen. |

| I have been here 40 years of my life and the humidity in my country is something I have never gotten used to. |

You're probably right, Obmar...
It didn't bother me when I was younger.
