Yesterday was Friday. I had something to do at at side of town, so I drove there. 40km away.

Every Friday, Muslims will congregate at the Mosque, for their weekly mass prayetr at Noon.

I was at this particular mosque, probably in the third front row.

Wish I had taken the foto of what the interior looks like to show you.

In the states we have services in our Christian churches or temples mainly on Wednesday nights from 7 00 PM to 9 00 PM, Sunday mornings from 900 AM to 12 00 noon, lunchtime and then Sunday nights again from 7 00 PM to 9 00 PM. For the young ones, we have like nursery school, youth groups or classes during the morning hours. In some churches, after morning Sunday School the youth join their parents or adults in praise, worship and ministry.

The first hour we pray in between each song of praise we sing. Then the minister our Pastor openings the word of God, the Bible, reads certain passages and scriptures, defines the meaning. We then prayer again before we leave.

These images of Mosques you have posted...
They look bigger then colleges and universities I have seen in the states.
Are they only for PRAYER...
Do they have services...
Like ministers, priests, pastors, professors, etc. who teach the word of Allah in classes...
Like school???

Some do incorporate those at the mosques.

Some dont.

Last night we had an usrah/service.

We started one where we rotate the activity among member houses.
After about an hour talk, we urgent for a light dinner, sponsored by the
host.

We used to have it at the surau/small mosque.
Doing at the houses allow the wifes and children to be involved as well, because at the mosque it is not compulsory for women to attend.
