Hi Ombar and friends!

Nice to meet you!

It's cool and raining in Vermont at the moment.

The leaves are beginning to change color on the trees - Fall is here, winter is never far behind. The Farmer's Almanac is calling for a very cold, very snowy winter. They were right last year, regarding a rainy, warm winter. I think I liked the snow better - but winter does last waaayyy too long.

But Fall is lovely, crisp air, most of the bugs are gone, crops are harvested - ahh... the corn and tomatoes right now -- yumm!

Got to get Froggy to take some pictures!

It is a beautiful season!

Right now our property has once again become a mushroom wonderland - there are places you can not walk without stepping on them - so many - so many varieties, sizes, colors, shapes - I am amazed - never saw anything like it before, anywhere.

Last few years we even got "magic mushrooms" - amanita muscaria (they arrived mid-October last year.)

gotta get some pix of all the mushrooms too!

a mushroomologist's dream!

A shame I don't like mushrooms - ah well - they are very interesting.
The critters seem to enjoy quite a few varieties - at least there are bites in many!

Yeah okay,

So the changing of seasons really doesn't exist in Southern California. Hey, Malaysia ain't much better. Mexico wasn't either (below the Tropic of Capricorn). Ahhhh, but Switzerland. Now that place changed weather almost as much as Maine. Always temperate in November and I never understood that.

As much as winter wears on me, after months....
It's hard to imagine not having the change of seasons as part of my world/life.

Blue,

It's actually quite pleasant in the late fall and winter time to listen about everyone else having to dig themselves out of 20 feet of snow while I'm enjoying 78 degree temperature and a perfect sunny day.

I'm sure it is - LOL
But still I couldn't give it up without feeling I'd lost something.
