It sounds delicious...
Although, you must have an ironclad stomach eating such spicy hot foods.
I have a co-worker who is originally from India, she invited me to her home to have supper with her and her husband. Charming gentleman her husband. I don't know what all she cooked for me but it was very very delicious but spicy hot. She tells me, that they use a great deal, lot of spicy hot spices in their foods whenever they cook in India.
I don't mind it once in a while but I don't have an ironclad stomach to do it all the time. The foods I eat are mainly bland for me or it messes with my stomach. |

To be taken with rice.
Since rice is pretty tasteless, a bit of spicy gives tatse to the rice.
Yes, we tend to be a bit on the high side when spice and chilli is concerned. |

Tasty Honey Chicken
Ingredients
# 5 drumsticks or 6 chicken wings, cleaned and with all visible fat trimmed off
Seasoning (mixed):
# 1 tbsp light soy sauce
# 1 tbsp oyster sauce
# 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
# 1/4 tsp pepper
# 1 tbsp ginger juice
# 2 tbsp honey
# 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
# 1 tbsp corn oil
Method
Pat chicken dry and place in a plastic container. Pour in seasoning and toss well to coat. Refrigerate marinated chicken pieces, preferably overnight. Just before grilling, add corn oil to the marinated chicken. Stir well to blend.
Grill the marinated chicken in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20-25 minutes or if preferred, deep-fry the marinated chicken. To test if chicken is cooked, pierce a skewer into the thickest part of the chicken. If the juice runs clear, the chicken is cooked.
The kids will love this dish. |
