This is a half-hour movie about the plight of the earliest Palestinian refugees who were forced out of their homes in the late 1940s. It was a plea for help from the international community and specifically stated that the conditions could not continue like that for very long without some form of retaliation occurring.
Very prophetic.

RT,
While I respect Mitchell G. Byrd and his obvious vast knowledge of the Middle East, I do find it hard to believe that Muslims were "happy" to sell land to the Jews. For example, he doesn't quote Theodore Herzel, the founder of modern Zionism, who said, "We shall try to to spirit the [penniless] Arabs across the border by procuring employment for it in transit countries, while denying it employment in our own country. Both the process and of expropriation and the removal of the poor [Arabs] must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly."
In fact, the aim of the Jewish National Fund was "to redeem the land of Palestine as the inalienable right of the Jewish people." With all of Mr. Byrd's pronouncements, he seems curiously unfamiliar with the intentions of the Zionists who first proposed the state of Israel in England in the late 1800s. He doesn't state that the Palestinians never became refugees of their own land, he merely disputes the total number of Arab refugees of the period. That's like saying that the US wasn't so bad to expel the Native Americans from their lands because there weren't that many of them. Who cares if only a few hundred thousand are made to suffer, it's less than the number some pundits quote.
Here is a fairly accurate account of the history of the conflict in the Middle East. It is authored by Jews only. It appears to survive the test of authenticity when its facts are cross checked with other publications. I believe this to be the fairest account of events I've seen yet on the internet.
