Tenaga in biomass project19-03-2008: Tenaga in biomass projectEmail us your feedback at fd@bizedge.com KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Felda Palm Industries Sdn Bhd and J-Power, a utility enterprise in Japan, to joint-develop a 10 megawatt Jengka biomass power plant in Pahang. In a statement yesterday, Tenaga said the MoU would set out the parties’ understanding and commitment in the project, which would be implemented under the Small Renewable Energy Power Programme launched by the government to promote the utilisation of renewable energy in power generation. |
