RAMADAN THE VVIP GUEST

RAMADAN THE VVIP GUEST

A few days later,
A very precious guest is coming to my house.
It is the holy Ramadan.
It is coming after a long year,
Will not stay very long,
Only a month.
If I take proper care,
It will give me numerous benefit.
The mercy and forgiveness of Allah
And safety from the Hellfire.
I do not have time to gossip
or to waste otherwise,
I am busy to arrange food,
accommodation and trips to desired spots,
Also collecting gift items before it leaves.
O Allah, my Lord,
kindly enable me to receive and enjoy it properly.

Ramadhan is back...

Alhamdullillah.

Al-Baqara (The Cow)

2:183 O YOU who have attained to faith! fasting is ordained for you as it was ordained for those before you, so that you might remain conscious of God:

Topics discussed in this Verse:
[Fasting:in Ramadan]

Al-Baqara (The Cow)

2:184 [fasting] during a certain number of days. [155] But whoever of you is ill, or on a journey, [shall fast instead for the same] number of other days; and [in such cases] it is incumbent upon those who can afford it to make sacrifice by feeding a needy person. [156] And whoever does more good than he is bound to do [157] does good unto himself thereby; for to fast is to do good unto yourselves - if you but knew it.

Topics discussed in this Verse:
[Fasting:in Ramadan] [Feeding the poor:in expiation]

Al-Baqara (The Cow)

2:185 It was the month of Ramadan in which the Qur'an was [first] bestowed from on high as a guidance unto man and a self-evident proof of that guidance, and as the standard by which to discern the true from the false. Hence, whoever of you lives to see [158] this month shall fast throughout it; but he that is ill, or on a journey, [shall fast instead for the same] number of other days. God wills that you shall have ease, and does not will you to suffer hardship; but [He desires] that you complete the number [of days required], and that you extol God for His having guided you aright, and that you render your thanks [unto Him].

[Allah:magnify Him] [Fasting:in Ramadan] [Qur'an:revelation of] [Ramadan]

Al-Baqara (The Cow)

2:187 IT IS lawful for you to go in unto your wives during the night preceding the [day's] fast: they are as a garment for you, and you are as a garment for them. God is aware that you would have deprived yourselves of this right, [159] and so He has turned unto you in His mercy and removed this hardship from you. Now, then, you may lie with them skin to skin, and avail yourselves of that which God has ordained for you, [160] and eat and drink until you can discern the white streak of dawn against the blackness of night, [161] and then resume fasting until nightfall; but do not lie with them skin to skin when you are about to abide in meditation in houses of worship. [162] These are the bounds set by God: do not, then, offend against them - [for] it is thus that God makes clear His messages unto mankind, so that they might remain conscious of Him.

[Allah's signs:explained] [Fasting:in Ramadan] [Wives]

Al-Ahzab (The Confederates)

33:35 VERILY, for all men and women who have sur_rendered themselves unto God, and all believing men and believing women, and all truly devout men and truly devout women, and all men and women who are true to their word, and all men and women who are patient in adversity, and all men and women who humble themselves [before God], and all men and women who give in charity, and all self-denying men and self-denying women, [38] and all men and women who are mindful of their chastity, [39] and all men and women who remember God unceasingly: for [all of] them has God readied forgiveness of sins and a mighty reward.

Topics discussed in this Verse:
[Believers:men and women] [Believers:rewarded] [Charity [zakah]] [Fasting:men and women] [Forgiveness] [Muslims] [Patience:reward for] [Remembrance of Allah:Remembrance of Allah (Zhikr)] [Women]

Az-Zariyat (The Winds that Scatter)

51:58 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal!

[Allah:feeds but is not fed] [Allah's attributes:Lord of Power] [Allah's attributes:Provider of sustenance] [Allah's attributes:Steadfast]

Happy Ramadan, obmar.

Very Happy
obmar

How fast each new ramadhan comes...

And today we receive info that my daughter's posting is going to be more than 2 hours flight away. Far for malaysian standards.

Cool
The Inquisitor

Where exactly is she posted, obmar?
obmar

In the state of Sarawak. East malaysia, a Hospital there.
The Inquisitor

Wow,

That's on the other island. She must be at about three hours by plane.
obmar

the mum is sad.
The Inquisitor

I can relate with that.

We bought a book early on to help us with child rearing. It was called, "Hug Them Closely, Then Let Them Go."

I think that's probably the best solution. I, too, am sad at my kids' departures, but they must make their own mark in life and when it's time for them to go, it would be wrong of me to hold them back. I think we all go through the same thing.

But with the advent of cameras on pcs and cell phones galore, it's almost as if they are there on demand.

On The Reception Of The Month of Ramadan

O People!
Indeed ahead of you is the blessed month of Allah.
A month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness.
A month which with Allah is the best of months.
Its days, the best of days, its nights,
the best of nights, and its hours, the best of hours.

It is the month which invites you to be the guests of Allah
and invites you to be one of those near to Him.

Each breath you take glorifies him;
your sleep is worship,
your deeds are accepted
and your supplications are answered.

So, ask Allah, your Lord;
to give you a sound body
and an enlightened heart
so you may be able to fast and recite his book,
for only he is unhappy who is devoid
of Allah's forgiveness during this great month.

Remember the hunger and thirst of the day of Qiyamah (Judgment)
with your hunger and thirst;
give alms to the needy and poor,
honor your old,
show kindness to the young ones,
maintain relations with your blood relations;
guard your tongues,
close your eyes to that which is not permissible for your sight,
close your ears to that which is forbidden to hear,
show compassion to the orphans of people
so compassion may be shown to your orphans.

Repent to Allah for your sins
and raise your hands in dua during these times,
for they are the best of times and
Allah looks towards his creatures with kindness,
replying to them during the hours
and granting their needs if he is asked...

O People! Indeed your souls are
dependant on your deeds, free it with Istighfar (repentance)
lighten its loads by long prostrations;
and know that Allah swears by his might:
That there is no punishment for the one who
prays and prostrates and he shall have no fear of the fire on the
day when man stands before the Lord of the worlds.

O People! One who gives Iftar to a
fasting person during this month will be like one who has freed
someone and his past sins will be forgiven.

Some of the people who were there then asked
the Prophet (s): "Not all of us are able to
invite those who are fasting?"

The Prophet (s) replied: "Allah gives
this reward even if the Iftar (meal) is a drink of water."

One who has good morals (Akhlaq)
during this month will be able to pass the
‘Siraat’...on the day that feet will slip...

One who covers the faults of others
will benefit in that Allah will curb
His anger on the day of Judgment...

As for one who honors an orphan;
Allah will honor him on the day of judgment,

And for the one who spreads his kindness,
Allah will spread His mercy over him on the day of Judgment.

As for the one who cuts the ties of relation;
Allah will cut His mercy from him...

Who so ever performs a recommended prayer in this month
Allah will keep the fire of Hell away from him...

Whoever performs an obligator prayer
Allah will reward him with seventy prayers [worth] in this month.

And who so ever prays a lot during this month
will have his load lightened on the day of measure.

He who recites one verse of the holy Qur’an
will be given the rewards of reciting the whole Qur’an during other months.

O People!
Indeed during this month
the doors of heaven are open,
therefore ask Allah not to close them for you;
The doors of hell are closed,
so ask Allah to keep them closed for you.
During this month Shaytan (Satan) is imprisoned
so ask your Lord not to let him have power over you."
