ACRES is one of the organizations of AUSLIG, the Australian government office. It consists of DPF (Data Process Facility) and DAF (Data Archive Facility). ACRES assorts a wide-range products and services corresponding to various data analysis and utilization.

The objectives of the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS) are to develop remote sensing technology and conduct research on global and regional environment through remote sensing. CEReS consists of Department of Sensor and Atmospheric Radiation, Department of Geoinformation Analysis, Department of Data Base Research, Department of Data Base Development. In the educational aspect, CEReS takes part in graduate school education and offers for MS and Ph.D. CEReS had started to receive images of NOAA and GMS, and offers the processed data to the scientific communities.

INPE (National Institute for Space Research) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 1991. It was established on 3 August 1961 as a group organization (GOCNAE) of the space activities committee of Brazil to organize people of high technology and to develop the fields of astronomy as well as an optical tracking and communication by satellite. INPE is today observing Amazon tropical forest which is concerned not only by Brazil but by the world, and developing satellite.
