American Presidents - triviaEvery American president elected on a year that ends in "0", since 1860, has died in office. That is, everyone except one.
Abraham Lincoln
James Garfield
William McKinley
Warren Harding
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
John F. Kennedy
Ronald Reagan (severely wounded in office)
George W. Bush (??)

Would be foolish this late in time to try and impeach him. Bush's term is almost up. By the time they get around to impeaching him they would have a greater chance at starting an impeachment against the next President before they ever impeach him.

Actually RT,
There are still 17 months left in his presidency. That's plenty of time to set up an impeachment committee and try him. However, the question here is whether he will survive in office through the end of his term, impeached or not, or whether he will die before his term is up. Up to now, only one president made it through and survived after being president under these circumstances and that was Ronald Reagan. And even he had a brush with death in 1981.

Geez!!! How time flies. I believe the majority of the people still support him. You just wouldn't hear them speak the loudest. They don't feel the need to at this late date in time.

Indeed, RT.
The majority of Americans still feel at this time that he was the right man for the job and if anything went wrong, it was probably his underlings who messed up, not him. There is some movement towards impeachment, but it doesn't have much momentum behind it and would be hard to achieve fruition before his term is over.
However, there is still the curse on those who were elected in years ending in zero. They all died before leaving office. All, but one. And he was a millimeter away from meeting his maker. Will Bush be the first to have been elected on a year ending in zero and survive without having his life snuffed, or almost snuffed??
The question still remains, "Does the curse still exist?"

There are many ideas of political leaders I don't agree with but would never wish any of them a horrible fate.
Saddam being hanged out in public. I was never a fan of his but even he didn't deserve such a horrible death.
The thought alone makes me ill...

I completely agree with you.
I wish no ill will towards anyone, president or otherwise.
I am just intrigued by the supposed curse on American presidents who have been elected in years ending in zero. It looks like Bush will be the first to fully escape the curse.
